Experiences of Testing TAF in Uganda.

Geofrey Kidega presents the experiences of using TAF

Geofrey Kidega of WaterAid Uganda shared the Ugandan experiences with using TAF in Iganga and Mayuge districts on the rope pump technology.

Kidega deliberated on methods, composition of study teams and challenges.   The insights from applying TAF will feed into improving the research methodology.

Key insights

Only six indicators covering the user perspective  the were scored in field out of the 18 indicators.

The technology manufacturers provided enough technical information.

Embedding WASHTech  in the Sector

Brenda Achiro presents the project embedding progress

Brenda Achiro the WASHTech Uganda country facilitator presented an update of the initiatives to sell and create awareness around TAF and the entire WASHTech project since the project inception. Although at National level the various actor are aware of the need and application of TAF, at decentralized levels of government the embedding is still weak.
